These terms are an agreement between you and Sparrow ("we", "us"), New Zealand, for the Sparrow website, launcher and client (together, "the Service"), including the closed beta. By creating an account, or by accepting these terms in the launcher, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be 18 or over to create an account or use the Service. By using it, you confirm that you are. If we find that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will close it.
The beta is confidential. Do not publish or share builds, screenshots, videos, settings, documentation or details of unreleased features without our written permission. This duty continues after the beta ends, until we make the information public ourselves.
The Sparrow software is ours and all rights are reserved. While you have access, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use it on your own computers for your own play. You must not:
Sparrow checks for cracked and tampered copies. If it finds one, or we believe you have broken this section, we may end your access straight away and without warning, block your account and any accounts or devices linked to it, and stop Sparrow from running on them.
Sparrow is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Mojang Studios, Microsoft, or Hypixel. Some Sparrow features automate gameplay. Many servers, including Hypixel, do not allow automation and may ban or restrict accounts that use it, and you could lose access to your account, items or progress. You are responsible for following the rules of the games and servers you play on. You use the Service at your own risk, and we are not responsible for any action a game or server takes against your account.
We welcome bug reports and ideas. You agree that we may use any feedback you send us freely, without owing you anything for it. The client sends crash reports and usage stats as described in the Privacy Policy. You can turn them off in the client.
You can stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account.
We may suspend, limit or end your access, or close your account, at any time, for any reason or for no reason, with or without notice. If you have paid for a plan and we end it for a reason other than a breach of these terms, we will refund the unused part of the period you paid for.
When your access ends, your licence ends too, and you must delete any Sparrow builds you have.
The beta is provided free and "as is", for testing. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will work without errors, be available, or suit any purpose.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of game accounts, items, progress, data or profit, however it is caused. Our total liability to you for anything to do with the Service is limited to NZ$100.
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Fair Trading Act 1986 or any other law that cannot be excluded by agreement. If you use the Service for the purposes of a business, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 does not apply.
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date and version above, and the launcher will ask you to accept the new version before the next download. If you do not accept it, stop using the Service.
